Global Energy is seeking two or more experienced software engineers to join our EnerPrise ETRM Development team and be a part of our aggressive growth in Sacramento, CA. The software developer will work with staff to maintain and develop enterprise ETRM applications/solutions on our EnerPrise platform.

Duties and Responsibilites

Design, enhance, develop and maintain the existing and new ETRM related applications on our EnerPrise platform
Developing an approach, planning activities, estimating the level of effort, and implementing activities that lead to meeting those objectives
Contribute to all aspects of the software development life-cycle for the ETRM applications
Report to the development team lead to work with a team of experience developers.

Required Experience

1-3 years experience developing ETRM software application
Familiar with the latest Microsoft .Net development platform; N-tier system design knowledge
At least one year of C# experience is required.
Experience in developing and implementing software applications on the relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL server )
Familiar with the source code control system is required
Programming experience in Visual Basic, COM, Java, or C++ is a plus
Degree in engineering, science, or mathematics with coursework related to energy trading and risk analysis methods
Strong analytical background and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude

Solid software development skills

Title: Natural Gas Analyst

Description:
Global Energy is recruiting two intermediate level Natural Gas Analysts. These positions have the responsibility for analysis and manipulation of specific gas industry information with the sole purpose of creating and maintaining a premier natural gas product.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Definition and design of natural gas industry product offering.
Coordinate project processes from conception to implementation, including integration between company departments: IT, Product Development, GIS, and Data Maintenance groups.
Assist in natural gas data source processing, proofing and manipulation.
Establish and use proofing reports and procedures to ensure overall data integrity.
Plan and meet deadlines of project timeline.
Support data maintenance through proprietary GUI form structure and SQL code.
Sustain product integrity and assist in client support after product is released.

Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge and understanding of energy industry.
Natural gas experience a definite plus.
Familiar with Oracle SQL and relational databases a plus.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage to an established project timeline.
Organized and detailed thinking process.
Bachelors degree in related field preferred but not required.

Education and Experience:
Qualified candidate will have energy industry experience, preferably in the natural gas arena. Global Energy is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our commercial development team and be a part of our aggressive growth. The ideal candidate must be able to:

Use VB technologies for object oriented coding, design, error handling and implementation.
Migrate and convert standard applications into .NET applications.
Design and implement a dynamic OLAP cube creation for reporting.
Design and develop integrated diagnostics tools to monitor system stability and advance troubleshooting.
Develop real-time data.
Update APIs in multi-user environment.

Duties entail working with Visual Basic, Microsoft.Net, VB.Net, HTML, XML, SQL Server, VSS, and Windows NT/2000.

Required Experience:
Masters or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering (any field), Technology, Business, Mathematics or related with two years of experience. Salary commensurate with experience.

Description:

This position has overall responsibility for quality control of the collection, processing and proofing procedures of fuels information with a high emphasis on the natural gas industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the collection and quality verification of natural gas source data through mainly electronic means.
Coordinate with IT to maintain the natural gas database including data loading procedures.
Creation, preservation and improvement of proofing reports and procedures to ensure overall data integrity through SQR/SQL report writing.
Assist in providing top-of-the-line industry reports.
Responsible for final-end proofing and enhancement of EV Fuels product.
Support Global Energy customers using database products.

Skills and Knowledge:

Understanding of Microsoft Office, Microsoft database and basic computer applications.
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL/SQR - Preferred but not required.
Familiarity and/or understanding of the natural gas energy industry.
Experienced in web-based research.
Extremely organized and detailed thinking process.
Strong communication and customer relations skills.

Education and Experience:

Qualified candidate for this entry level position should have experience with energy industry data, including collection and research. Specific natural gas experience a definite plus.
