Dear Sacramento
Bee,
The IT job market in
Sacramento in terrible. Worse - as I have brought to your attention over the
past year - many of the job ads that you run are FAKE -- they are only being run
for DOL RIR certification to get green cards for foreign
workers.
The only
computer ad in today's 12/14/2004 Bee is:
Computers Key Business Solutions, Inc a software
development & consulting co seeking Junior & Senior Software Engineers
Database Administrators Programmer Analysts for Sacramento ofc. Salary

The only openings on
their website were posted nearly a year ago, and are for New Hampshire:
Consistent with fake
RIR ads, there is not a single SKILL listed in the ad. I phoned 916 646-2080 (a
guess based on fax #), a guy with an Indian accent just said 'Hello?" I said "I
saw your ad for Key Business Solutions in today's Bee, but there are no skills
listed." He said, "yes, basically we are just looking for VB, VB.NET, C#, that
sort of thing." I thanked him and hung up.
Consistent with the
pattern of visa abuse, the President has a middle-east (Indian?) name:
NATARAJAN GUTTA
As our data at www.programmersguild.org/RIR/
shows, Key Business Solutions has already been granted green
cards based on prior fake ads they have run.
As the LCA Database
shows, Key has applied for several H-1B workers in the past year. (Why don't
they run help-wanted BEFORE applying for LCAs?)
EDD and
DOL: Will you please stop granting Green Cards based on such
shams? You are charged with protecting U.S. workers.
Sacramento
Bee: Will you please investigate and report the extent that your
publications are being used for fraudulent purposes - for job ads that are run
with the intent of NOT hiring U.S. workers?
